about the project
The catalog traces the history of the Compasso d'Oro design award, with contributions from over 40 authors offering insights into the evolution of the award up to the present day.
In this context, we created a digital and immersive branded space, accessible via interactive QR codes, that allows users to explore iconic award-winning designs in 3D and augmented reality (AR). This experience creates a bridge between the past and the future of design.
Our mission is to merge the worlds of art and design with the potential of digital technology, extending the lifespan of physical works through innovative digital tools and reimagining how design history is preserved and experienced.

The Challenge
The goal was to make design more accessible to a broader audience by breaking the barriers of physical space and unlocking new possibilities for user engagement.
We aimed to give everyone the opportunity to virtually access the physical museum by bringing design masterpieces into the digital realm, making them available to anyone, anywhere.
The Process
Digital extension of the physical Museum, designed in line with the elegance and distinctive style of the ADI Museum. By exploring the experience, visitors can discover a curated selection of Compasso d’Oro award-winning models from various editions, faithfully and meticulously digitalized. These digital works create an immersive experience, where attention to materials, animations, and sound effects enrich the user journey, enhancing every aesthetic and functional detail of the exhibited objects.

Takeaway
S—iR is the first Italian digital company to secure a dedicated physical wall within a museum exhibition.
The wall features three interactive QR codes, offering visitors: access to the immersive ADI Design Museum digital exhibition; the ability to explore and place S—iR's 3D model in their own environment; and a gateway to the full portfolio of S—iR’s products and digital solutions.
To enhance the experience further, an iPad embedded in the wall allows direct interaction with the digital content—making the installation a true bridge between physical and virtual worlds.
